My iPod touch 4g stuck on headphone mode

I dropped my iPod in the sink while i was washing my hands, and the speakers havent worked since. I plugged in the headphones and the audio worked then, but the outside speakers aren't working. Everything else is working just fine. Also the noise for games dont work either.

Have you tried the standard fixes in order:

- Reset:

Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home

button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Restore the iPod from backup

- Restore the iPOd to factory defaults

If still a problem I suspect a hardware problem probably due to the water.
