Recover photos after reset
My wife's iphone internal clock wasn't working this morning, i was at work so long story short she plugged her unresponsive iphone 3Gs (32GB 4.3.5) into iTunes on her computer and did a "restore". This erased all the photos and videos from her phone and reset it. Of course she never sync'd her phone so when I plugged it back into iTunes it asked if I wanted to put data on from last backup which was 1/30/10!!! I did that. Looked at the phone and there were no pictures, I suspect because she didn't take any befor 1/30/10.
Once that was done I noticed "autoplay" was on her task bar. Out of curiosity, I opened it open and behold, her photos up until 8/26/10 were in a sub folder. I've copied them over to a DVD as well as now the library "restored" on her iphone. Yay!!!
Question is, where are the photos from 8/27/10 to now (8/3/11)?
Should I cut and run and be thankful I recovered some of the photos / videos, or should I send the phone off to an exotic data recovery service to see if they're buried in there somewhere?
Suggestions?
Wish I'd done the autoplay trick before I did the restore backup on iTunes to see if everything was hidden / buried in there.....but I would've never guessed it would have been as simple as that.
