iMail draft created repeatedly
Can anybody explain why iMail (Lion version) is often creating draft of sent mail or saving a lot of numbers of the same draft without any reason (sometimes one every minute)?
Thanks

I have the same issue - SENT mail often appears in the DRAFT folder as well as the SENT folder on the IMAP server for my mac dot com email. This problem does not occur on all SENT email - it may be an issue with emails that have attachments.
I too have this problem. I have tried deleting and it goes away and then comes back. I have tried erasing the addressee and sending it to myself, and again it goes away and comes back. Yesterday it came back in duplicate. I tried deleting it on all of my devices and the Cloud, and again it came back. At this point, I don't know what else to try.
Facing the same problem here
You don't give much information, IMAP, POP, Mail settings etc. Try going to Mail Prefs/Accounts/Mailbox Behaviors and deselect "Store Draft Messages on the Server".

I use 1 gmail & iCloud account both as IMAP.
deselecting the options works, but then if I save a draft on my Mac, I cant access it on other devices.
Your solution defeats the purpose of having an always synced drafts folder.
Settings to get Gmail and Mail (and now iCloud) to work satisfactorily can cause large headaches. Try the link below for Mail and Gmail settings. Generally, those are the settings I use and don't have the drafts problem anymore. I don't use iCloud and have no experience or advice concerning that.

I'm hoping that deselecting the "store draft messages on server" works for me. I actually found it as a suggestion on another thread and tried it yesterday. So far so good! Many thanks for your suggestion as well.
