Delete Boot Camp Partition with Lion

Does anyone know how to delete a boot camp partition I made after I installed Lion? I was going to install OS X10.6 but it would only let me install a windows OS so I do not need it.

Thank you for all of your help.

Bob, the link just went back to the forums. Is that what you intended?

OP: boot with "command-R" to get into recovery mode and remove the partition with Disk Utility; or use boot camp assistant 4.0 - read the PDF, you are told how to - the same as, in reverse, instead of create your remove the partition.

Then just stretch your HFS back to full drive space left behind.

<snip>.

The original post was not in the Boot Camp forum. I was just directing the original poster to the Boot Camp forum where he was likely to get good help.

I wish who ever moves threads would put a note saying the thread was moved from xxx to here. The move without a note makes me look like the idiot I am. 😝

Niel,

I am using Boot Camp Assistant Ver 4.0 (424) and I can not see an option to remove/delete the partition. The only options I have are "Download the Windows support software for this MAC and I have already downloaded the Windows support software"

I also check in Disk Utility and could not find an option to delete the boot camp partition. It does show the Boot Camp partition.

I looked in system preferences and it only shows the Lion partition.

Thank you for all of your help.

Take the "I have already downloaded the blah blah blah" and the next screen will give you option to "Create/Remove Partition"
