Cannot update apps. on my iPhone

Changed my apple id username to an e-mail address that don't exist making it impossible to verify it. Created a new apple id but when trying to update apps. on my iPhone password for the old non-verified apple id is asked for.

How can I make app store ask for my new apple id instead?

Why on earth would you want to change to an AppleID address that does not exist ???? Your Apps are linked to your old ID, you will only be able to update them login in with your old Idea. Now you will probably have to delete them all, and download them all again with your new ID. Assuming you bought some of them, you will have to buy them again.

I have the same problem. I bought the Mobile Me and was then encouraged to set up my iTunes account using my new @me.com address. Not something I woud have done if I had known my previous info would not travel with me!

Like you I could not do the updating so I deleted the Apps that needed updating - BIG mistake. Now when I try to reload I am told there are "no matches."

I have asked, by phone to an Apple Store, if one of the Geniuses would help, but after 2 phone calls, using told to go to the online help store, and because my iPhone is more than 3 months old there is no free help. I have an appointment by phone to communicate with someone. So frustrating, isn't it?

When I get this sorted out I'll get back to you.

If you are trying to change your Apple ID to a new ID, then jbjoret gave the correct answer "Your Apps are linked to your old ID, you will only be able to update them login in with your old ID"

If you are trying to update your Apple ID, then read:
