I have selected the title, and a color from the color wheel, but the titles remain white. What do I need to do?

Mac OS X (10.6.8), Using iMovie '09 version 8.0.6

I think you can also choose colors from the Preview window, there's a small button marked "Show Fonts" up in the upper left corner of the window. You can choose/apply colors from there and then hit the Done button when you have the colors you want. Always make sure to click "Done".

Have you been able to change your font color yet? I have followed the help instructions and it just won't work for me. This comes from a neighbor in Melbourne Florida.

When using the System Fonts, once the font panel is open, you need to click on the title in iMovie's Viewer so that it is highlighted. Now select the color - you should see the title color change. Now click on Done at the bottom right of the System Font panel, then on Done in the Viewer.

You can change the color on the main fonts.

However, there are several "fancy" titles that use the Quartz Composer. These cannot be changed as far as I know.

Your problem may not be exactly the same as that of the original poster of this old thread, and it can be very confusing for everybody if we try to answer more than one question in each thread.

In order for us to give your problem our undivided attention to try to solve it, would you kindly start your own thread, describing the trouble you are having in the fullest detail, including completing your details to show what Mac you are using, what operating system, and what version of the application in question.

There are only certain titles that have that SHOW FONTS button available.  When you select one of those titles....highlight your text, then push that button...you'll get a pop-up window that will give you about 9 differnt font selection, the same about of color selections and then sizes from 1-9. You just move your cursor around as you move around the highlight text in your title will change to show you what it would look like if you clicked on that FONT, COLOR or SIZE.

If you don't like those you can click on the system font panel button in the lower left hand corner and go to town there...

    Hope this helps...

I should add that these "fancy titles" that you cannot change in iMovie become easy to change in Final Cut Pro.
