And it is supposed to be able to export a QuickTime movie. Each time I try, the movie screen comes up, and Grapher crashes. Any ideas? Don't know if the feature worked prior to Lion; I never tried it before.
It is a slick program I hope is still being supported.

1) Grapher 2D window
2) Menu Examples / 2D Example / Variable Parameter
3) Click button « creation of video » (piece of photo film)
4) Menu File / Save as… / Title etc.
5) The result is a .mov file
6) Double click on it or open it in QuickTime Player 7 or 10.0
It worked perfecly in Tiger, Leopard, and Snow Leopard,and today in OS X 10.6.8
(iMac 20 inches early 2006 32 bits and MacBook Pro december 2010 64 bits).
Could you try this 1) to 6) procedure in Grapher 2.2 (Lion) and tell us what is the result, a new bug for Grapher or not ?

Yes, using the example I observed the same behavior, the movie window opens, after step three, there is a pause, and the movie window closes along with Grapher crashing.
I will report this to Apple Feedback. Thanks for the link.

Hi Chip,
I tried today the procedure 1) to 6) above on two MacBook Pro 64 bits Lion Grapher 2.2 : it worked perfectly as well as in Snow Leopard. No crash at all.
Is your problem a Lion Grapher 2.2 problem or other explanation ?

Well, I thought you might have the solution, as I was in 32 bit mode. But I tried again in 64 bit mode, and got the same result.
I wonder if there is a problem with whatever movie player Grapher is calling up to play it?
