Bloomberg live TV - sound ok, no picture...

Hi All,

So I just got my new Mac Min with Lion, hooked up to my Samsung 46" LCD TV. Works great after having found the "Just Scan" setting on the TV.

Now, I want to watch Bloomberg TV live, normally I use Chrome but have also tried Safari. After playing the Bloomberg trailer/commercial I get sound but no picture of the program.

So far I have installed the latest FlashPlayer (for Safari ver.34, in Chrome a later version was already installed .36), tried Flip4Mac, tried the tip to disable hardware acceleration in the FlashPLayer setting - this does not work at all. I get the settings dialog but cannot untick the box for Enable Hardware Acceleration, and the Close button does not work. The Flashplayer has to be restarted to exit this dialog. Also, the "Allow sites to save information on this computer" IS selcted.

All options in Settings - Other Flash &Flip have been checked and seem correct.

The tip to use the stream in VLC player works but the video quality is poor.

So, any hints, tips or solutions on how to play Bloomberg live TV in Lion and Chrome and/or Safari?

Thanks!

Just a follow up to my request for help above;

Still unable to de-activate hardware acceleration (HA) in Lion's Flash player, both Chrome and Safari. The settings dialog comes up but seems to freeze, unable to untick HA, nor can I Close the dialog box.

For reference, I just managed to successfully de-activate hardware acceleration in my Snow Leopard MBA11 (now previous generation), with Bloomberg live TV working perfectly.

Still looking for a solution... Anyone?

Thanks...

So, seems to be a bug in the flashplayer with Lion setup;

The Flash Player Settings dialog box doesn't respond to mouse clicks. As a workaround, press the Tab key to move to the Close button and press the spacebar to close the dialog box. While not all settings are available, you can also use the Flash Player native control panel in System Preferences.

Still, even with the tip to use Tab to go through the various settings, Spacebar to change, I'm unable to untick Enable Hardware Acceleration. However, I am able to close the Settings dialog....

Also, there are no settings for HA in System Pref's for Flash... :-(

Anyone with suggestions how to disable HA in Lion's flashplayer is appreciated...
