how to eject ipod from itunes...

following on from post below, have been advised to eject the ipod from itunes...but i have just restored the ipod after deleting the itunes from my laptop (next move was to dowlnload itunes again as advised). so how do i eject it? (is saying "do not disconnect")

there are three ways to eject your ipod as far as I know. One, you can eject it with itunes, but this obviously won't work in your situation. Second, is to eject by using the "safely remove hardward feature of Windows XP" To do this, click the arrow next to the clock in the bottom right corner of the screen and then double click the little green arrow. Then find your ipod in the list of devices. (double click the USB... to see what device it is) and click stop. Then you can remove your ipod. The third way is if your ipod is enabled as a drive. Click my computer and then right click your ipod and click disconnect or stop, or remove, or something like that.
