The ability to physically click the trackpad is not related to OS installed. I still think if it is a physical click that is the problem, it is best that you take it to the store. As I have posted above, the trackpad is kind of hinged at the top edge. The nearer the top edge you are, the harder you have to push to click. If you click at the bottom edge, it requires much less effort and quick clicks are easy. I am sorry that your problem has not been solved, but again, if it is physical issue, it is hardware and you ought to let the technician take a look at it.

It clicks very easy at the bottom, true and pretty easy elsewhere as well. The trackpad clicks well. The problem is the system registering the click. It does not register the click any better if I click it at the bottom of the trackpad. If I push the trackpad down for let say 1/5 of a second, it clicks fine but if I push it for let say only a 1/10 second, nothing happens. This problem started instantly after the Lion update and I am pretty sure that Lion is the problem. I can report back if I downgrade later if the problem was resolved. The system registeres dragging with the trackpad down fine and that's one other reson to suspect that the problem is in Lion and not in the hardware.
