iPod nano 6g White Screen of death?

My Nano is showing a white screen and nothing else. It still plays music but the screen doesn't work. I used it this morning and it was fine but now the screen will only show white and it wont respond to any touch input. I've tried resetting it and checking for updates and restoring and nothing seems to help. It has never getten wet at all and never been dropped
