XSan not managing users and permissions

Hi

I'm managing an Xsan network that currently has no permissions.

Users and accounts were handled by open directory, however the computermanaging all of that, as well as storing all the user data, was stolen.

Due to the way it was removed it’s looking increasingly likely that opendirectory is no longer an option. Our external contractor has been unable toget it working again as every mac still tries to reference the stolen mac andthere seems to be no way to stop them doing so.

Is there anyway to move away from that and using purely xsan permissions, and a way to do this if during the initial set up of xsan wasn't told to handlethis?

Cheers
