Golf Logix Garmin GPS 8 not recognized from USB port

I just discovered the same issue with my GolfLogix not being recognized under Lion. I tried reinstalling the driver to no avail.

just tried to load mine and same result....this...not the first time this has happened with programs since Lion debut

The same thing happened to me. I contacted the Golflogix support team. They had me try another driver that didn't work and told me they would send me the fix that they were working on. So far, no messages from them. It's been about a month.

I have the same problem with my GPS unit. No longer shows up on the desktop as an external drive since Lion. Currently chasing the supplier for an upgrade.

To solve the problem, simply download and install the latest and/or OS appropriate PL2303 USB to Serial driver from Prolific.

Once you install the correct driver to match your OS, the Golflogix GPS-8 should connect / be recognized again. (The driver on the Golflogix website is an older driver that may not work with Lion and El Capitain)
