How do i delete bbLaunchAgent.app in Lion???

How do i delete bbLaunchAgent.app process from Blackberry desktop manager in lion? This process prevents my MBP to go to sleep on idle as set in preferences. Unlike other Lion sleep problems, my MBP does go to sleep if i do it manually. I also noticed that my battery is going down faster than usual, at a rate of about 1% in 5 minutes with only safari running, without keyboard backlighting. I have removed Blackberry desktop manager using it's own uninstaller from the .dmg file and trashed folders associated with "rim" or "blackberry" but this process still runs and i can't even force quit it. Any help?

You have to figure out where it is being launched from. The standard locations are your user/Library/LaunchAgents, user/Library/LaunchDaemons, or user/Library/StartupItems. In the first two, it will be a .plist file. In the third, it is a folder. They will be named with the company, program name, or both.

There is no rim plist files in LaunchAgents folder. I cant find LaunchDaemons and StartupItems folders as well. Can you help me? I'm using Lion.

Not having those other folders in your user library is normal.

Try the main Library folder for the same folders.

Also, I forgot to have you check the login items in your Users and Groups System Preferneces. It could be launching from there, also.

The problem is solved. I used the search feature in Finder for all files related to "rim" and deleted all those related files. Force quit the app in monitor and it's gone. Anyway, thanks Barney! 🙂

I have done everything listed above. I can't delete the BBLaunchagent.app or the RimAlbumArtDaemon from my computer and stop them from appearing in my Activiy Monitor. Can anyone please help?! Thanks.
