Parental Controls - Volume not mounting ?

I need to setup Parental Controls on an iMac running 10.6.7.

Setting the user up as a "Standard" user brings no problems - all works fine, however, if I enable "parental Controls" (without cutomising anything further & leaving everything set to default settings), I'm unable to mount an external volume (Compact flash card reader).

I've been through the PC settings and looked for available items to allow access to, but am unable to find anything relating to an external volume.

Any help allowing me to mount the compact flash card, and retrieve the files on it under these restrictions, would be most helpful.
