Restoring iPod Touch 4th Generation

Hello, I'm trying to restore my iPod Touch 4th Generation. It was running iOS 4.3.5, but when I plugged it in it said it was in recovery mode and needed to be restored. I can't get it to restore every time I do, it says,

The iPod "iPod" could not be restored at this time because the iPod software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable.

Please try again later.

I have to have my iPod because I use it daily for entertainment and work. I NEED to have my iPod working ASAP.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
