Lion making system slow !!!

Hi Friends,

I have a Macbook Pro15.6 and I guess it is mid to late 2010 model (Macbook Pro 6,2). I have installed Lion OS.

Now, I find the start up and shutting down process have become quite slow compared to the Snow Leopard OS.

Also Safari takes a while to start and then becomes unresponsive at times. Overall I find system quite slow after Lion install.

Please guide about the process and advice what should I do in this situation.

Hello friends,

I need your help to sort the issue out !!

Now the system keeps on freezing every now and then? Especially when using Safari and Chrome but freezing is not limited to just them. I have to press POWER button to shut down and restart the Mac.

I had never experienced similar problems before LION upgrade :-(

Guys, please help.

If you didn't have to repair your hard drive before, you certainly do now. As long as you are in the recover disk, repair permissions too.

Thanks for the reply.

I have tried automation repair through Onyx which includes the permissions repair.

I tried to fix SMC and PRAM.

But then also the problem continues.... :-(

Use the Recovery Partition instead.
