My iPod touch won't come on!.. HELP!

Okay so my iPod touch 4ht generation, 8gb went dead, I left it on charge over night and it still hadn't came on. I help down the home and menu key for over 3 minutes and nothing. I've hooked it up to iTunes and it still wont come on. I've had it for less than a year and It hasn't got wet it's just dead, it wont charge, or it won't come on, I don't know what to do about it? can anyone please help me?
