panic(cpu 0 caller 0x47f5ad)

I restored the hard drive on my MacBook Pro 15 using time machine. The reason for the restore was because of accidental deletion of all my pdf files :- ( and it was easier (I thought) to restore than to manually find and replace.

When I rebooted I received the message panic(cpu 0 caller 0x47f5ad) "process 1 exec of /sbin/launch failed, errno 8\n~@/source cache/xnu/xnu_1504.15.3/bsd/kern_exec.c.3145l

I have no peripherals attached. I tried to reboot three times normally, three times after removing the battery and pressing start button, twice while holding down.

Thanks to all.
