I have an iMac & use the app Printopia to print from my iPad to a wired Samsung laser printer & a wireless Canaon Pixma printer. The app has produced excellent results.

That's great, but it doesn't help Virginia solve her problem. But it couldn't have been too big an issue as she hasn't posted back yet.

Sorry to be unclear. My post was intended to give information about a third party app that works for me in the absence of an HP printer.

I have same problem, been trying different things for weeks now!! Got a feeling it might be something to do with ports (open or closed)?

I am having a similar problem with printing from ipad to lasterjet pro m1217. I updated ipad with OS 4.3.2- but the printer doesnt appear as option on ipad when I try to print....any help would be appreciated! 🙂

I downloaded an update from HP Website, all works fine now. I'll try and find the link 😉
