Free Fonts and Malware
I have downloaded several free fonts from dafont.com and I was curious, is it possible to get a virus or malware from a font file? If it is possible, how likely is it? These are .tff files just to let you know.

This link (recommended above to test browsers for safety) is dead (404 error):
http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=
This is the current Google site to test a browser (just paste the URL into the box in the middle of the page):

Good luck, folks.
Well, you can end up getting malware by downloading almost anything. Next time you want to download something, check it out with WOT, Web of Trust, which is a Firefox Add-on; maybe Safari now, as well.
This is the page for dafont.com and the comments, not included below, seem positive.
There's also Google Safe Browsing Diagnostic. Put the following in the URL bar and the name of the site after the =
http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=
Also, next time, just google around for dafont.com, or whatever, to see what's being said about it.
That said, however, some free, badly designed fonts may end up causing problems other than malware.
There are a few font related exploits. Mostly related to embedded fonts in PDF and Flash documents. All know issues have been addressed as long as you're running at least 10.6.7.
