copy and paste not working in Lion

can someone please explain this incredibly stupid nonsense???? SInce installing Lion copy and paste or dragging files from one drive to another is no longer working. It appears to be working, as in I get the paisting dialog box and all the files start showing up in the folder, but as soon as it finishes they all vanish without a trace. Is this suposed to be some kind of new advancement for the OS???? What the **** is this all about????

I believe there is a very substantial bug in the copy/paste feature of OSX Lion:

I believe that you have a problem with copy/paste and some others are too. But the vast majority of users are having no problems in this area. Some simple testing could help.

Try starting upin Safe Mode and testing.

Re, OSX Lion: Copy and paste of 5 to 10 PDF files from one folder to another works OK. Doing the same with a 100 to 1000 files is extremely slow and sometimes is just does not work. The computer hangs on with the little wheel spining for hrs., until you relunch the finder. The situation becomes even worse if you are trasfering files from one mac to another via network.

I recently upgraded to Lion. I did not have this issue before.
