My Ipod Touch 2nd Generation got a nice cracked in the screen. It still works fine the crack just bothers me. I have been reading up and i have heard alot of people took it into apple and the fixed or replaced it for free. I was just wondering if this is true. Or if there is another way to get it fixed without having to pay over 80 dollars. I don't want to try and repair it myself because I am not very confident in myself.

Maybe in a very few, very lucky cases. This is not the norm. Damage is not covered under warranty.
i fixed my screen about 2 months ago. Simply buy a repair kit on amazon/ebay, and follow its instructions. i got mine for 15$, and in 30 minutes I had a brand new screen. Actually a rather simple repair.
Could you possibly give me a link to a good ebay screen. This would be so helpful because I'm not completly sure what I am looking for. I have a 2nd generation so I would like to have right screen thanks again.
That looks like an acceptable screen. you want one that comes fully assembeled with a frame and home button. There's numerous how to videos on youtube.
