Hi,
Can I stream my iTunes library, stored on a NAS, to an Apple TV (2nd generation) and/or an Airport Express without my Mac running?

sort of.
you can use NetPortal on iPhone (or FileBrowser on iPad) to access media files stored on
and use AirPlay to send the files to airport express without the need for a computer to be running.

Cheers for that!
Can I ask if this works for video files to? ie using netportal connect to NAS, stream movie and then use AirPlay to send to Apple TV 2?
Cheers
Hi,
I am new to this and would very much like to know how to set up my itunes music on a NAS drive (iomega cloud Drive 1tb) and use the Iphone Remote with Airplay to stream music to my Hi Fi without any PC running - is that possible???
Appreciate any help and guidance.
Cheers
Martin
Yes it works for videos as well. I had to convert some of my videos to mp4 format for the Apple TV beeing able to show them.
To stream music as well as videos you will need a file browser like 8player or FileExplorer, depending on your cloud drive. Find out what protocol your drive uses, DLNA or SMB. 8Player is for DLNA, FileExplorer for a SMB server like Airport Extreme.
