Age is not showing up in birthday calendar

I have an IPAD 2, I'm using the build in contatcs app, in the build in calendar I have the birthday calendar using data from the contacts app. Peoples birthdays from the contacts app are showing up fine in the calendar, however the age that the contact is turning is not showing up! Anybody knows how to fix this?
