I'm having the same problem with a HP-CM3530ls MFP. I had a shared folder on my desktop that worked with Snow Leopard; after installing Lion, it no longer is recognized.

The core of the problem is the &^$%(*&( Windows interface on the HP printer. The printer has its own URL for setup (identified in the owner's manual). My HP printer's is 192.168.0.194. There is a tab for "Digital Sending." I've tried setting up both a FTP site and a shared folder. Neither has worked.

I try to set up a shared folder, enter the path, and then the software tells me that I don't have enough privelege to access the folder (despite being an administrator & entering my password).

When I try to set up a FTP location, the printer can't see the computer at all!

I've wasted HOURS trying to get this printer to see my new iMac. HP support is useless (Windoze based), and Apple leaves support to us "Communities."

If I get mine working, I'll post the solution. If you get yours going, please share.

Thanks!

dbfillmore,

Try the steps in this article for scanning to your imac:

cathodecathay,

I am not too familiar with the CM3530's as they are considered commercial products. However, I can direct you to a great resource. HP's commercial boards located here:

The community there has much more experience with the CM3530's (than I do) and should be able to help you out 😉

Best of Luck to you both!

I work with HP.
