Sep 2, 2011 4:59 AM in response to Jasodoby roman_UA,same thing. Macbook Pro 13" 2011
updated to Lion 10.7.1 and after that my SD card is not visible in finder, and using
ls -a /volumes
in Terminal.
I dunno if that happened after updating to Lion 10.7 or after update to 10.7.1
PRAM reset didn't helped
Also, saw a lot of similar issues on that forum. Guys, Y NO U do the correct drivers for known cardreaders of your brand laptop? It's not a Windows where you have to support hundreds of hardware items from different vendors.

Sep 20, 2011 2:08 PM in response to Jasodoby krale10,That's inexcusable. You buy a brand new $1400 laptop, and the feature that's advertized is not working!
How do we report this to Apple, I don't think they read this!

Sep 20, 2011 2:39 PM in response to Jasodoby RSER,Hey everyone!
I know this won't be much help but here it is....Though my memory card could be inserted into another computer and it appeared to work just find. I put it back into my camera and after a few pictures my camera told me that its' memory was full.... Not being able to figure out what was wrong, since I only had 4 pictures on an 8MB card, I took it back to the store and they told me the memory card was bad. They replaced the card and now the camera and my reader on both computers works just fine.
I would suggest making sure that your card is good also & check the write protect tab to be sure it is in the correct position for reading/writing to the card before inserting it.
Hope that helps.

Oct 1, 2011 6:32 PM in response to Jasodoby wwhawkww,I have the same problem. I have reformatted multiple cards to FAT and Journled, with no success. I have ensured that the card reader is still recognized in the ahrdware profile of my MBP. If anyone has a good idea as to the fix for this, please let me know.

Oct 20, 2011 11:51 AM in response to Jasodoby lucj06,Same thing for me, my card reader stopped working... I can not really remember when, at that time I probably though it was link to my card and did not try another one. Now, no card can be read... It was even the case before upgrading to Lion. Strange that it does not start to be a known problem now...

Oct 20, 2011 3:20 PM in response to Jasodoby bluryfusion,I solved the problem for me, even if it makes no sense...
To mount my SD card, i just need to place it on entry of card reader, and then give it a quick tap, so that it gets in place.
if i place it gently, it doesn't mount, but if i place it with a fast tap, surprisingly it works.

Oct 23, 2011 9:52 AM in response to bluryfusionby anupam347,**** this solution WORKS!!!!!!! Just tapping the card in the slot. Like its activating the card drive or something. Whatever. It WORKS!!!!
