I upgraded to an iphone 4 only about a month ago. Up until a few days ago it was fine but then it began to heat up on the back and sides whenever I was charging it or using aps. I made sure I closed everything and only ever used wifi or data seperately depending where I was. Many other people have this problem?

Hi! This is quite normal when the iphone is charging. When using rather intesive apps that utilize processng power and graphics, this will also cause the phone to heat up slightly thus also draining the battery. Dont worry too much about it, this is all normal!
If it does get too hot to touch and hold though, something could be amiss so I would take it in to be checked but what you're describing sounds normal. 🙂
