Accessing the 2nd HD on a Mini remotely?

Hi! Quick question.

So I can access my Mac Mini Server's main HD for my user remotely from my other Mac laptop no problem. I just click connect from the finder. Easy as pie.

However, I also store stuff on the "Macintosh HD 2" (default name) of the 2nd HD on that same machine. I created an Alias over to the specific folder over there, but when accessing from the laptop it won't let me connect over. If you know what I mean.

Main HD / alias to folder on HD2. - i can use this when directly logged into the mini while sitting at the keyboard.

From laptop, connect to Mini remotely, click on the Alias to the folder on HD2, "The alias “NAME alias” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found."

Is there anyway to change permissions so that I can access it that way?

Thanks for any help, and apologies if I haven't made myself clear!
