Could switching off the Certificate Revocation List and Online Certificate Status Protocol have hurt/ infected my computer?

So i have recently had some problems with the Mac App Store running awfully slow e.t.c, and found some info about turning off the Certificate Revocation List and Online Certificate Status Protocol found under Keychain Access > Preferences > Certificates. So i went ahead and did it, not thinking about the potential saftey risks. So my question to you guys is:

Is there a risk that my MacBook Pro (early 2011- modell) may have been infected by any kind of virus, malware on any other bad things?

Thanks guys!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7)
