Help with Vista sfc utility

Can't run sfc /scannow on my MacBook (2007), Windows Vista. The command prompt says "YOU MUST BE AN ADMINISTRATOR RUNNING A CONSOLE SESSION IN ORDER TO USE THE SFC UTILITY"

The only user on this PC is User, so I assume it is an administrator. But what is a CONSOLE SESSION and how do I run one?

This MacBook doesn't seem to recognize control click as equv. to "right click". Any other way to get into the "run as admin" mode, or to fix the control click issue? The computer seems to work fine in PC mode except for that quirk, and the inability to run one particular third party application that I'm trying to figure out.

That said, not sure exactly what "when you open CMD" means. Is it from Start>All Programs>Accessories, then control click to open Command Prompt, where I can only get

C:\Users>User>_
