iPod touch can't restore
My 4th gen, 64 gb iPod touch will not sync nor will it "restore." When I plug it to sync, iTunes says "cannot restore this iPod Touch due to Unknown Error. 9" Is this a battery issue or something else. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a hardware/USB issue.

I've had some issues with the old iBook's battery and power supply that I use to sync my devices. Maybe I should de-authorize it and sync on my new iMac instead. All of my files are on it also. What do you think?
I tried restoring my iPod on my desktop (rather than my laptop) in case it was the "hardware" issue you suggested, "MacMed," however, I got the same error message. "Could not restore this iPod due to an unknown error. 9" Is it a logic board problem? By the way, I mis-identified the iPod in my original post. It is a 3rd gen, 64 gb model.
