Sorry abelincolnzombie you got a very good point!

It's to create music i really like to know and try to make something that sound's good on the old G3 and need free music creation software to do that!

Allen Eckert i don't know yet but i am going to check it as soon as i can, but i think that it's a very old version and that it was the version that was on it when it was bought.

In OS X (which you may not be running?) there is a bundled app called Garageband which many musicians agree is the best free music-creation software around. When you buy a version of OS X - which on a G3 should be Tiger 10.4 unless the G3 is one of the oldest models - Garageband comes bundled as part of a suite of software called iLife.

If you're running OS 9 or later you can run a free download called Audacity which will take a feed in from an external source and convert it to a digital stereo track which can then be edited in a number of basic ways. Audacity compared to Garageband is like Daewoo compared to Aston Martin, but it's free and it works on a basic level.
