Q: Installing Update 2.1.3

I have tried several times to download and install ASU 2.1.3 on XP. When the automatic update failed, I tried the download only, manual install method. This has failed too, with an error on the installation. Any suggestions?

iPod touch, Windows XP

I get exactly the same problem, and the manual install option does not work. I now can't download the latest version of itunes or iOS 5 for my ipad....can anyone help please.

I'm also having the same problem. I've taken the next step and tried to "Repair" the Apple Software Update from the Control Panel and still wont install. 2.1.3 won't install and looks that that is preventing the update to iTunes 10.5. itunes, which is blocking my iOS 5 update.

    -windows vista

    -all windows updates are complete

-have previously updated iTunes many times without an issue

Someone else had the same problem. They went straight to apple and downloaded the latest version.  (www.apple.com/itunes/)   It worked!

I have the same problem, but as i can't download the latest software for AOS, the iTunes-installer (for 10.5) can't finish. I have also tried the download only and then manually install later, and the problem is apparently that my computer don't have administrator-rights, even though i am logged onto my only administrator profile. I tried to repair it from the controlpanel and it looked like it was working but then it just came up with a new problem. It says it have a "void signature" (translated from danish) I don't know what to do, and this is stopping me from getting the iOS 5 update...
