Rewind button highlighted as default (versus Play button)

I'm using iTunes 10.4 on a Mac running Lion and lately the keyboard controls have been giving me problems; when pressing the space bar to pause the track, it instead skips to the beginning of the track or the previous track played. Upon closer inspection, the Rewind button on iTunes seems to be highlighted instead of the Play button:

No efforts to highlight the Play button including manually selecting the correct button, restarting iTunes, or reinstalling iTunes has an any effect; the Rewind button continues to be highlighted as the default button.

Any ideas?

Same problem here. I've seen some relate it to updating to Lion, but I'm on Snow Leopard. It's happened in the last couple of versions of iTunes I've used (10.5). It happens randomly. Sometimes it will be working right. Other times it seems to do this for no apparent reason. I rarely use Command-Tab (I've seen that mentioned as a source), but only once when it has happened has it been after using Command-Tab. The rest of the times, no idea why. I can't force it to do it by using Command-Tab, either. Very strange. In normal use, none of the navigation buttons are highlighted, even when pressing them. But when this problem happens, the Rewind button has a blue halo around it.
