Hello,
I'm having an issue with Lion servers webmail login. When I go to login, I get a "Login Failed" message at the top of the screen. I know the service is turned on and I have been using other service within the server.....Wiki, web, VPN and so on. I checked in Server Admin and made sure the users were granted access to the Mail service. I'm pretty novice as well. Any ideas?

I have tried multiple accounts from standard users to admin with the same result......
have you made any progress on this. My story is the same. I can loging fine via a client like the mailapp but if i go to /webmail no matter what account i try i get a login failed. Strange thing is that i recently installed an Endian firewall device and i can log into webmail from the internal ip but not the wan.
yes am the same trouble on my new version of os x lion server is very bad is god in morning is not posible log in my account mail in this night.
i did make some progress. I found out that if i do this though my local ip it works and if its on my wan ip it doesn't
ok is report of trouble of mail on lion server.
Sorry guys.....the only way I could solve this issue was formating and reinstalling Lion Server. It took a few tries because other services(VPN) would not function. After a few tries everything works fine.
I route everything through a time capsule and its a 2011 Mac mini server.
