2011 Macbook Pro Short battery Life on Windows

I just got a macbook pro 2011 in june and i noticed something different when i installed windows 7 through bootcamp because i had some games that can only run on windows! On mac OSX i would ge t around 5 hours of battery life just searching the web on max brightness on a full charge but when i ran windows through bootcamp it would get cut to an hour and 45 minutes! Is there something wrong with my battery or what and yes i still have an warrenty cause i bought it in june!

No, your battery is probably ok.

If the battery life was substantially less in OSX, then you would have a problem.

Windows 7 battery life may be less because windows uses a lot of visual effects (transparency etc). Also, it may not be dynamically switching between graphics cards as well as osx.

Battery life is shorter when running Windows via bootcamp.

If you are playing games under Windows you will be taxing the CPU or GPU, depending on the model you have. This will run the battery down very quickly.

How long does the battery last under Windows if you do light computing, eg. surfing, email, word processing?
