Q: How do I save a still that I have extracted from iMovie and save it to iPhoto?

I'm trying to save a still that I have extracted from imovie.  So far, all I can see is that it can be saved in the imovie project.  I need to save it to iphoto.  Any help would be appreciated.  I'm running Lion and have aperture too.

I tried what was sent to me, but revealing in finder just puts the clip there.  I don't see the jpeg.  I have already chosen freeze frame in project

Imovie 11? It isn't that easy. You could navigate to the movie event, drag that into Streamclip, and use MPeg streamclip to make a still from the movie. The freeze frame isn't a photo you can get out of imovie, as far as I know.

Here is a youtube video on how to do it with iMovie 11.

    Same problem.

Have tried to save the thing as an image & as a movie to a folder. It never appears.

This is butt ugly. So iMovie doesn’t work & I need to use a 3rd party app not available in the app store.

In the past, the software was modified to work the way people think.

Now apparently people have to bend to the will of the machine in some measure.

    Still trying...
