What is http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net?

I'm having a very annoying experience while using Dashboard. Every so often (I can't figure out what brings it on), while I'm using Dashboard, I'll click on something and Safari will open to this website. I'm presented with just a blank page. I can't find out much about it but I'd really like to know how to prevent this from occurring.

Anyone else experience this? Anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Thanks

Well, deleting the dashboard.plist file didn't do the trick. I don't think it's a Dashboard issue because it occured yesterday while I was using Lion installed on my spare hard drive and I didn't have Dashboard open. I did go into Safari Preferences > Privacy and deleted the cache and plug-ins. I saw several entries there related to googleads and doubleclick.net. That seems to have worked, at least temporarily. I see that those entries are back even though I have not used google since deleting them.

When I was using Lion from my hard drive, it occurred when I double clicked the Desktop. Something causes Safari to launch and then display that googleads page. I have now set Safari so Yahoo is my default search engine.

If anybody has any other suggestions . . .
