what is the "other" on my ipod? it is taking up room on my memory.

on my ipod touch i have a space on there tht says other. it is taking up 1.37 GB of space on my ipod. i just want to know what it is and how to get rid of it

its the ios and other tools needed for the ipod to run properly. you cant delete them and even if you do your ipod will not function correctly.

Other is taken up by the OS, app data and things of that nature.

If it's contasntly growing and gets to be a big number then there's an issue. You should back everything up and restore.

OS = operating system. iPod Touch (as well as iPhone and iPad) run on IOS. Just like PC runs on Windows and Mac runs on OSX.

i would but my music library has about three times as much music is on my actual ipod so if i restore it thn i will lose all my music and have to fill it back up with my whole music library
