how do I add album art to my music? I have the album cover in jpeg...

right click and go to get info there should be a tab for artwork

Open iTunes and click the location of the album that you want the picture(s) added to. Then open the location of your album art and drag the picture(s) to the iTunes into the artwork box.

Yes, you can. Close out of iTunes and wait about 3 seconds then open it again and wait until the iPod shows up on the source list.
