Motion 5 fullscreen mode

Hi! In Motion 5 the fullscreen mode with typing F8 is listed in "windows", but it doesn't work. I need it though. Does anybody know why it doesn't work?

Thanks!!

I use Motion for Videomapping. In order to map an object it is necessary to view the canvas in fullscreen, so the canvas has the same projection as if the exported video would be shown on the beamer.

In Motion 4 this was ALMOST possible, because in fullscreen mode, there still was a thin grey edge.

But I could handle that by exporting the video in 99% scale, it than had the same size on the beamer when projekted directly as quicktime video.

In Motion 5 there is a fullscreen option in the "windows" menue, directed to F8, but why can´t you use it?

I noticed the same thing myself. I have Lion, so I was wondering if this is a feature that was tucked away until Lion came out. I would love for Motion (and FCPX) to have a Lion-fullscreen mode which, although the apps by default took up most of the screen, you can get even more with the bottom bar out of the way and the top toolbar, in a fully supported FS mode.

Unfortunately, this was still disabled with Lion. Maybe they are releasing updates to FCPX/Motion5 soon with that Lion functionality as well as some other stuff? One can only hope. I really hope this first update blows everyone away and redeems some of Apples shortcomings with FCPX.

I looked again at Motion 5 and F8 is now listed as Player mode, not full screen. Like I said, I think it's changed. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with doing video mapping and I'm still not clear on how this change is blocking you from creating your elment(s). How is the canvas size (WxH) that you set for the project different than the "beamer"? Don't they both use the same dimmensions?
