nokia 6600 not sending files via bluetooth

I have been trying the past few weeks to send files from my nokia 6600 to my quicksilver 867mhz. Both devices are recognising each other fine, but when it comes to send it, the file transfer doesnt even begin ( as in the message doesnt come up to ask if the computer will accept the file). I have noticed that there are a few problems going round with Tiger 10.4.4 and bluetooth. Is there any solution to this problem. File transfering and all the proper buttons have been ticked.... so im stuck?????

Hi there Alasta,

Bad news for you, I'm afraid. There have been some major problems with the 10.4.4 update, including Bluetooth. Many people and myself have exactly the same problem you have. See these posts;

This issue has been mentioned in the Macfixit.com headline news, too.

Sadly there is no cure for this at the moment. I'm still waiting to hear from a few people if it's feasible to downgrade to 10.4.3 without issue, but I'm concerned that it may be the new Bluetooth 1.5 updater that's the problem. This was part of the OS X upgrade.

Sorry to give you the bad news, but you're not on your own. My only suggestion is to keep checking the various Mac forums.

can anyone tell me whther the bluetooth problem has been resolved? i still cant find any news of whether they've fixed it
