ipad backup file location?

After backing up an ipad using ITUNES on a PC running Windows 7, where does the file get stored (path)? Is it a single file?

iPad 2, iOS 4.3.3, PC running Windows 7 OS

It's underneath :

\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

There will be one folder under that directory for each devie that you backup on that computer - and there are multiple files which (probably) won't make any sense except to iTunes itself.

iTunes places the backup files in the following places:

Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

Windows Vista: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
