Trying to Update iPhone 4

I've tried three times to update my iphone using itunes. It spends about an hour or so and gets to the last 5-10 min and pops up with an error message and will not complete. What do I do???

What is the Error message...

Are you using Mac or PC...

Has the phone been jailbroken...

Disable your antivirus and firewall software. It can interfere with the update process. Kaspersky is notorious for this.
