Getting a
error after they appear to talk for a few seconds!?!connection failed to the directory server. (2100)
Can Lion bind to Leopard? I haven't read, yet, that it can't.
MB Pro, PowerMac, mini, iPhone, TV, Mac OS X (10.6.4)
I also can't get Lion to bind to a SL server. Very frustrating. Any suggestions anyone?

I can't do a remote bind either without getting the ****** 2100 error, frustrating indeed.
I'm trying to bind a Lion client over the internet to a Lion server.
All Lion computers are at 10.7.3
This problem is back. Only thing different is the version of the client & server (10.7.4 for both).
Anyone find what causes this?
I resorted to using profiles configured with Profile Manager (server.example.com/profilemanager/) which now does everything I need it to.

Turns out my 10.7.4 to 10.7.4 problem had to do with Open Directory having no SSL cert specified via Server Admin. Though there was one set up in Server.app.
Hope all these admin apps finally merge in Mountain Lion!!
