Smart playlists with podcasts won't sort

My smart playlists with podcasts appear on my Nano in some weird random order.

Anyone know how to sort them to play in order of release dates?

Seems to be a problem Apple doesn't want to bother to fix, since I find references back to 2004 ... Apple?

using iTunes 10

iPod nano, Windows XP
