merging iTunes accounts on the same computer...

Question

merging iTunes accounts on the same computer...

I split my computer into two accounts, one for work, one personal. The idea being: I keep all of my work stuff on one account, personal stuff on personal account. BAM! keep the company computer.

But now, I have two separate Itunes accounts. And i've been getting most of my music during work. ****.

How can i bring everything over to my "personal" Itunes account? Is there a way to merge these two accounts? They're on the same computer...

Do you mean Accounts or Libraries. If you mean Accounts, then everything I've read on these Forums says no you can't combine iTunes Accounts.

If you want to merge the Libraries, you can try iTunes/File/Add To Library

on the work account, move the iTunes music (or media) folder from <MacintoshHD>/users/<workname>/music to <MacintoshHD>/users/shared.

log into the home account, launch iTunes, select the add to library command from the file menu, and navigate to the iTunes music folder in the shared folder. or drop the iTunes music folder from shared into the automatically add to iTunes folder inside the iTunes folder.
