Just loaded Lion. Now I can't find the Safari Download application any more. It used to be either the combined keystroke Command+Option+L or under the menus in Window->Download. Where has it gone as I cannot download anything from Safari any more?
With the lack of information provide all I can do is guess that your download manager is no longer compatable with Lion. I would suggest that you check with the developer who wrote for additional information on it.

Sorry. Maybe I was not clear. The download function was part of Safari in the past. If I do a HELP search on it from "How to download from Safari", I am told to open the Downloads window from Safari by going to Window->Download. But when I open the Window Menu, there is no Download option, only the Activity Option is available. In my old Snow Leopard, I had the Download Option also available under the Window menu in Safari. I don't believe it is a separate App. It used to be part of Safari. Do I now need to get an App to download from Safari?
They have removed the download window in Safari, now you have a button to see your downloads(see pic).
You will only see the button once you have downloaded something.
You can still download in Safari. That download window for safari displays your downloads. You can stop and resume downloads initiated in Safari. The window is still there but is not a separate window. in the Safari tool bar, at the right edge is a button with a circled down arrow. That displays your downloads and you can stop and resume downloads from there.
Thanks. That makes a bit more sense. But what if I want to download something and Safari will not initiate the download. In the past I used to Copy it from the Activity Window into the Download Window. What do I do now? Eg: how do I download a video from Youtube?
Click the new button, When that window opens, cnd+V the file iin youtube you copied. The download will start immediately.

My Download application is in my Home Folder, the folder with the name of my system hard drive.
Safari also has a "Downloads" button. This is not shown by default. One can go to the "View" menu, and select "Customize Toolbar...". You will see the familiar Finder icon of "Downloads" there. Move it to the bar if you llike.

Not anymore. No "Downloads" button in Safari 5.1.1 (7534.51.22) with 10.7.2. 😠
Same here using safari 5.1.1 and snow leopard...
Same with Safari 5.1.2 and MacOSX 10.6.8

Using Version 5.1.2 Agree with others above. The button is gone and cannot be added any longer. So much for progress.
Totally agree. It's gone for me in 5.1.2 as well (I'm on 10.6.8).
