What happened to "save as"

To get to the old Save As… dialog box you need File > Duplicate then File > Save…

What?

You don't have the "Save As..." function?

I just updated to Lion and the latest Page 4.1 and have and been using the "Save As..." How come you don't have it? Did you delete the function by mistake? Or other thing that may be wrong on your system is the fact you don't have enough memory? How much memory do you have installed? Or maybe you run out of room/space on your hard drive? Or something may be wrong with your machine and especially I would recommend to have your computer be checked by a specialist to see what's the status of your CPU. Or you may need to reformat your hard drive and do a fresh install of Lion and the latest iWork. Are you having an i7 or i5 processor?. Or it may be the time to get a new machine. I really cannot pin point the problem for you but it looks you've got some major trouble there.

Can add my name to the growing list of folks who find this to be a horrible changes in pages... I immediately am reconsidering going back to Word, shesssh... What a horrible change! Bring back "Save as"...

You can but no one is here is keeping a list. Apple's developers don't come here looking for feedback. It's just a place for fellow users to help each other out.

If you want to give feedback to Apple start Pages and choose the Pages > Provide Pages Feedback menu.

Might be 'nuf, but only if you say it to Apple, not to the other users in this forum.

Go to the Pages menu in Pages and choose Provide Pages Feedback.

That post you responded to is almost 3 years old.

I assume you know that Pages is an Apple word processing program, you are in the Pages forum after all.

The Pages menu is the second from the left on the Menubar in Pages.

Every application has its own menu, in this case Pages, and most have a Provide feedback on… under it.

LOL. No. I didn't and I don't. I use MS Word when word processing is needed. I got here by searching for "what happened to 'save as.'" Hadn't realized this has been a problem for several years!

I used to have Snow Leopard on my MacMini. Now I've got this godforsaken Mavericks on my Macbook Air (which I use mostly in clamshell mode with full-size monitor and keyboard).

For my business I use Preview a lot to make quick edits to photos and other images, and THAT is where I'm missing "save as."

Guess I'll live without it.

Will probably get a PC next time around, as Apple is becoming just as bad as Microsoft as far as paying attention to the customer. Why patronize a company that's going in the wrong direction?

I don't use or need or want or like an iPad. Why would I want my computer to behave like one?

I nearly lose my mind trying to scroll with the scroll bar on this OS. It's the pits.
